FEP offers two (2) types of program at postgraduate level; Program by Coursework and Program by Research. In general, programs offered are as follows;

Program by Coursework:

  1. Master of Economics
  2. Master of Entrepreneurship

 Program by Research:

  1. Master of Science (MSc)
  2. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

 Fields of study under Program by Research are:

We are pleased to inform you that UI is now accepting nominations for student exchange for February-June 2020 period.
Students must be nominated by the International Office (IRO) at home university on 26th October 2019 by the latest. Kindly send the applications and all documents needed through email and please pay attention to the deadline. 
We expect to receive your nominations as soon as possible since it will take some time to process and issue an acceptance letter.
In line with this, I would like to announce that UI presents a scholarship program for student exchange under AUN-ACTS scheme which is UI Study Award. The scholarship will be given to incoming students in one time grant as financial support. All students from AUN University Member are welcome to apply. Students who have been accepted in UI could automatically apply for this scholarship only if they confirm their participation for this scholarship program.

Application form (including supporting documents) can be emailed to the Global Relations Office at office.gr@ubd.edu.bn. 

Please kindly note that we no longer accept hard copies.




  1. Completed at least one year of full-time study at one of UBD’s partner universities;
  2. Nominated by the International Office (or equivalent) of home university;
  3. Achieved a minimum of CGPA 2.5 (out of 4.0) or 3.0 (out of 5);
  4. English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550 or equivalent.
  5. Must have a passport with at least 6 months of validity from date of departure from Brunei after the end of the semester exchange programme.


Application Process (3 Phases)

Application Phase 1 (by 1 November 2019)

  1. Email the completed application form (click here)
  2. Email a clear scanned copy of passport photo page
  3. Email certified true copies of:
    • Latest academic transcript
    • Latest English proficiency test score

Application Phase 2 (After Accepted by Faculty in UBD)

  1. Email a copy of completed medical check.

Application Phase 3 (After Medical Check Passed)

  1. Email a copy of medical insurance valid in Brunei for duration of study in UBD.
  2. Email a copy of flight itinerary (recommended arrival date: 28 December 2019).
  3. Email a copy of completed accommodation form.
