UPM Collaborates with Northwest University of Political Science and Law to Enhance International Cooperation

 

China, April 24, 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the School of Business and Economics (SPE), conducted a visit and held discussions with Northwest University of Political Science and Law to develop strategic cooperation.

The delegation from the School of Business and Economics, UPM (SPE UPM), was led by Prof. Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin (Dean of SPE) and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies), along with the team from Northwest University of Political Science and Law, including Prof. Dr. Chen Mengqi, Deputy Director (International Relations and Exchange), Prof. Dr. Wang Wenjing (Chair of International Trade Faculty), Prof. Dr. Wang Sen (Director of the School of Economics), Prof. Dr. Wang Shengli (Dean of the School of Economics), Prof. Dr. Xu Mei (Deputy Dean), Prof. Dr. Hou Yinyi (Deputy Dean), Prof. Dr. Chen Xiaoyong (Deputy Dean), faculty staff, and Dr. Gu Guoxing (Escort), who were involved in the discussions.

Among the proposed collaborations are Offshore Graduate Programs, staff and student exchanges, joint organization of international conferences, academic engagement, joint research, mobility initiatives, executive development programs, and the proposal to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). These signify significant steps in strengthening academic relations and expanding educational and economic opportunities internationally.

The visit also included a sharing session delivered by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies) to the students of Northwest University of Political Science and Law titled "National Culture of Malaysia and China based on Hofstede’s Model".

Ultimately, the pursued cooperation aims to enhance the reputation and impact of both institutions in the international arena and create new opportunities for the development of knowledge and sustainable cooperation in the future.
