Background:

     

The Accounting programme, which was officially offered in 1985, is designed to produce ethical, professional and competent graduates with an adequate skill set in accounting that meets the requirement of the world of work. The programme is widely recognized by local and international institutions.

  • Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) through Schedule 1, Accounting Act 1967
  • Malaysian Institute of Public Accountants (MICPA)

 

International institutions:

  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
  • Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA-ANZ)
  • Certified Public Accountants (CPA) (Australia)

  • 138 Credit Hours

Programme Educational Objectives
 
  • Develop innovative, critical-thinking accountants and financial specialists who have a working knowledge of the accounting sector.
  • Obtaining knowledgeable and experienced advisors/pakar kewangan to create and guide organizational change
  • To create qualified, skilled, and versatile accountants
 

English Language Requirement

 

For International candidates only

Have obtained one (1) of the English Language Proficiency qualification with a minimum score as stated below:

    • MUET Band 3; OR
    • IELTS Band 6.0 (With Speaking 5.5 and Listening 5.5); OR
    • TOEFL Score 500 (PBT)/60 (IBT)/176 (CBT); OR
    • Pearson (PTE) 42; OR
    • CIEP Level 109 ( Speaking – B, Listening - B)

AND

    Pass an interview that will be conducted for candidates who obtained a minimum score of the English Language Proficiency qualification.
