Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is a reputable university ranked 2nd in Malaysia, 29th in Asia and 123rd globally in the 2023 QS World University Rankings (QS WUR). In 2021, UPM ranked 10th in the QS Top 50 Under 50, which ranked the best universities in the world under 50 years old.

Three subjects of UPM School of Business and Economics are ranked in the top 200 in the 2022 QS World University Rankings by subject. They are Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, and Economics & Econometrics.
