MASTER OF ECONOMICS
|
Overview:
|
|
The program provides a broad-based course of study in the applied field of economics. The programme emphasizes a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application that suits various stakeholders. Students will acquire relevant skills in conducting economic research by taking courses in research methodology econometrics, statistical techniques and a master dissertation. They will also be exposed to current global economic issue and recent economic research tools and studies.
Curriculum Structure

Candidates are required to complete a total of 40 credit hours of coursework. The total credit hours include program core courses and master dissertation (25 credit hours) and elective courses (15 credit hours).

Entry Requirements
|
|
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.000; or
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a CGPA between 2.750 – 2.999 and have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a related field; or
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a CGPA between 2.500 – 2.749 and have a minimum of 2 years work experience in a related field; or
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a CGPA below 2.500 and have at least 5 years of work experience in a related field.

- Score 79-80 for TOEFL (Internet-based); or
- Band 4 for MUET; or
- Score 50 for PTE Academic; or

Note : The validity period of the English Language Proficiency score should not be more than five years.

MASTER OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Overview:
|
|
This program is a formal holistic program to produce candidates with the entrepreneurial instinct and skills for innovative and creative endeavour. This program is designed for candidates from various educational backgrounds. Candidates of this program will also be exposed to practical hands-on experience to exploit market opportunities as well as benefit from networking.

Candidates are required to complete a total of 43 credit hours of coursework. The total number of credit hours include program core courses (31 credits), elective courses (6 credit hours) and an entrepreneurship project (6 credit hours).

This program is recognized at both national and international levels. The focus of this program is on Financial Engineering and Islamic Finance. Students if this program are required to register for several courses and conduct a research project.
