SBE UPM x Al-Ikhsan Sports Apprentice Programme: Shaping Future Leaders

The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is proud to officially launch the SBE UPM x Al-Ikhsan Sports Apprentice Programme, held at the iconic Philip Kotler Hall. This milestone event marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between academia and industry, aiming to bridge the gap between education and real-world business experience.

This dynamic collaboration with Al-Ikhsan Sports, one of Malaysia’s leading sports retail chains, is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in business, marketing, and talent management. By providing hands-on exposure, mentorship, and structured training opportunities, the apprentice programme gives students an inside look into the fast-paced, ever-evolving sports retail industry.

The inaugural group of apprentices includes:

🔹 11 enthusiastic students from:
    • SMK King George V
    • SMK Taman Desaminium
    • SMK Puteri Seremban
    • SMK Tuanku Munawir

🔹 3 undergraduates from SBE UPM, selected for their strong interest in business and marketing, and their readiness to learn, lead, and grow.

These talented individuals were chosen for their passion, potential, and readiness to explore the intersections of retail, branding, customer engagement, and leadership development.

A special thank you to Tuan Haji Ali Hassan Mohd Hassan, Founder of Al-Ikhsan Sports, and his team for supporting this meaningful initiative. Their commitment to youth development aligns with SBE UPM’s mission to produce industry-ready graduates.
