Our Commitments

The School of Business and Economics experienced a series of changes and growth over the past decade. Whilst staying true to our commitments that has provided us the pathway for growth and development, we are mindful of our future growth by addressing our continuing commitments. 

The following are some of the key areas where SPE has seen success from our past strategic plan.

Leadership and Governance

  • Institutional transformation whereby the Faculty of Economics and Management has been re-positioned as the School of Business and Economics paving way for better autonomy as a business school

Learning, Teaching and Research

  • Being the first institution in Malaysia to be accredited by AACSB and successfully maintaining the reaccreditation demonstrating continuous quality improvement in learning, teaching and research

Partnership and Engagement

  • SPE has successfully secured collaboration and endowment with leading national and international partners, namely, Maybank; SALIHIN and Yunus Social Business Centre.

Resources and operations

  • Universiti Putra Malaysia has provided continuous financial support to SPE in strengthening resources and operations to enhance SPE’s quality through benchmarking and achieving global quality standards in the likes of ISO, AACSB and EQUIS. 

 

Our Continuing Commitments

In formulating our strategies into the next phase (2019-2025), we aspire to learn from our past endeavours to chart our school’s sustainable future. SPE in continuing our commitment towards quality and excellence, aspires to achieve key outcomes in the following areas:

  2. Create SPE’s Value through a Strong and Sustainable RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT.
