UPM Collaborates with Dr. M.G.R. Education and Research Institute to Enhance International Cooperation

Chennai, 18^th June 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the School of Business and Economics (SPE) held a visit and discussion with Dr. M. G. R. Education and Research Institute to develop strategic cooperation.

The delegation from the School of Business and Economics, UPM (SPE UPM) was led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Graduate Deputy Dean), Associate Prof. Dr. Sudesh A/L Prabhakaran (Assistant Dean of Business Development) and Mr. Aidi Asyraf Suhaimi (Executive Officer) together with Dr. M. G. R. Education and Research Institute which is Prof. Dr. S. Geethalakshmi (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Dr. RM. Narayanan (Dean of Sponsored Research), Prof. Dr. V. Cyril Raj (Registrar) was involved in the discussion.

Among the proposed collaborations include Bachelor and Graduate Programs in a Joint Degree (Joint Program), staff and student exchanges as well as international visits between the two universities and the organization of joint international conferences and seminars either face-to-face or online, executive development programs and recommendations hold an MoU. This marks an important step in strengthening academic ties and expanding educational and economic opportunities internationally.

This visit also saw a sharing session about UPM and SPE delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudesh A/L Prabhakaran (Assistant Dean of Business Development) to the students Dr. M. G. R. Education and Research Institute.

Finally, the cooperation that is being worked on is expected to increase the reputation and impact of both institutions in the international arena as well as open up new opportunities for the development of knowledge and the sustainability of cooperation in the future.
