29 May 2025- The School of Business and Economics (SBE), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has reached a significant milestone with its recent accreditation by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), a globally recognised authority on postgraduate business education. This prestigious recognition affirms that SBE UPM’s MBA and related postgraduate programmes meet the highest international standards in terms of curriculum quality, faculty credentials, student experience, and graduate outcomes.

With this latest accreditation, SBE UPM proudly becomes Malaysia’s first and only business school to achieve the coveted Triple Crown Accreditation, joining the ranks of fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide accredited by all three leading international business education bodies: AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS.

SBE UPM was first awarded AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation in 2012 and most recently reaccredited in 2023. AACSB accreditation recognises excellence in strategic management, learner success, faculty research, and continuous improvement. It remains one of the most prestigious global accreditations for business schools.

The school received its EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) accreditation in 2022. EQUIS, granted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), evaluates institutions on internationalisation, corporate connections, ethics, sustainability, and governance. This accreditation highlights SBE UPM’s institutional quality and global outlook.
