UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The SPE-UPM S.T.E.P.S is an undergraduate student development programme that was established in 2022. This 4-year essential soft skills programme is designed to help undergraduates develop as ethical business leaders, charismatic speakers, and responsible global citizens.
The programme is based on the following eight essential employability and soft skills:
- Achieving Mastery and Success Through Growth Mindset
- PEAKS Psychometric Profiling and Strength-Based Living
- Onboarding Challenges and Impression Management Strategies
- Basic Financial Literacy and Money Management Skills Training
- Active Listening and Assertive Communication Skills Training
- Emotional Intelligence and Stress Management Techniques Workshop
- Finding Your Ikigai and Living a Meaningful Life Workshop
- Goal Setting and Time Management Mastery Training
The programme is divided into four steps, one for each year of study with two S.T.E.P.S program:
- Step 1: Year 1 - Personal Mastery
- Step 2: Year 2 - Wealth Mastery
- Step 3: Year 3 - Relationship Mastery
- Step 4: Year 4 - Life Mastery
Each step focuses on a different aspect of student development, from building a strong foundation of personal mastery in Year 1 to developing the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve life mastery in Year 4.
The SPE-UPM S.T.E.P.S programme is a holistic approach to student development that aims to prepare students for success in their careers and personal lives. The programme is based on the latest research on student development and employability, and it is conducted by experienced and qualified trainers from the industry. In fact, it is tailored to fit the needs of individual students.
In order to strengthen SPE's commitment, in 2023, SPE collaborated with TalentCorp Malaysia to enhance the S.T.E.P.S syllabus where participants will gain access to:
