Professor Dr. Abdul Mongid is currently a faculty member at the Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Surabaya, an education institution owned by Indonesian Banking Association (PERBANAS). He holds a Bachelor degree from Airlangga University, Master from Bangor University, United Kingdom and Ph.D from UNISZA Malaysia. His current research interests include governance, financial system stability, risk management especially in Islamic banking. Currently he is a Director Executive II of the Islamic Economic Development of East Java, Governor / State organization level. Previously, he worked in various organizations such as the International Financial Corporation - IFC Pensa, Frankfurt School of Management, and serving as Director for Regional Economic Development Institute (REDI). He used to teach the Islamic Banking at the Utrecht University Summer School program in the Netherlands.
