UPM Collaborates with Xian University of Finance and Economics to Enhance International Cooperation

China, 23 April 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the School of Business and Economics (SPE), warmly visited and engaged in discussions with Xi'an University of Finance and Economics to develop strategic cooperation.

The delegation from the School of Business and Economics, UPM (SPE UPM), was led by Prof. Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin (Dean of SPE) and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies), along with the team from Xi'an University of Finance and Economics, including Prof. Dr. Gao Linan, Director (International Relations and Exchange), Prof. Dr. Li Kaifeng, Deputy Director (International Relations and Exchange), Prof. Dr. Fu Jing (Dean), Prof. Dr. Li Rui (Deputy Chief of Section, Division of Cooperation and Foreign Exchange), faculty staff, and Dr. Gu Guoxing (Escort), who participated in the discussions.

Proposed collaborations include Offshore Graduate Programs, staff and student exchanges, joint organization of international conferences, academic engagement and research collaboration, mobility initiatives, executive development programs, and the proposal to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). These signify important steps in strengthening academic relations and expanding educational and economic opportunities internationally.

Ultimately, the pursued cooperation aims to enhance the reputation and impact of both institutions in the international arena and create new opportunities for the development of knowledge and sustainable cooperation in the future.
