Punjab, 26th June 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the School of Business and Economics (SPE) is pleased to visit and hold discussions with the University of The Punjab, Punjab, Pakistan to develop strategic cooperation.
The delegation from the School of Business and Economics, UPM (SPE UPM) was led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Graduates) together with the University of The Punjab team which is Prof. Dr. Uzma Ashiq Awan (Chairperson Social Work Department), Dr. Tahira Jabeen (Social Work Department), Prof. Dr. Rana Malik (Chairperson Department of Gender Studies), Dr. Ayesha (Chairperson Department of Communication Studies), other academic staff as well as Mr. Mumtaz Hussain (Director KDL, Liaison Consultant), Mr. Pervaiz Mustaq (Liaison Consultant) and Mr. Chaudhry Saeed Ahmad (Liaison Consultant) was involved in the discussion.
Among the proposed collaborations include Student and Staff Mobility, international visits between the two universities, the organization of international conferences and seminars, executive education and a proposal to hold an MoU. This marks an important step in strengthening academic ties and expanding educational and economic opportunities internationally.
The collaboration is expected to increase the reputation and impact of both institutions in the international arena as well as open up new opportunities for the development of knowledge and sustainability of cooperation in the future.
