UPM Collaborates with Shanghai Jiaoda Education Group - Under Shanghai Jiao Tong University to Forge International Partnerships

SHANGHAI, October 15 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the School of Business and Economics (SPE), was honored to visit and hold discussions with Shanghai Jiaoda Education Group - under Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with the aim of developing a strategic partnership.

Shanghai Jiaoda Education Group, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), supports the university's mission through continuing education, vocational training, and international collaboration. SJTU is consistently ranked among the top 100 universities worldwide and is among the top 5 in China, recognized for its excellence in research, innovation, and talent development.

This partnership will focus on a wide range of academic and research activities, including the establishment of a foundation centre, offering certificate courses, and facilitating the exchange of students and researchers.

Additionally, the partnership will feature joint study trips, courses, projects, workshops, seminars, and conferences, involving both students and staff. The proposed MoU is expected to pave the way for greater academic cooperation and global engagement.

This collaboration is expected to enhance the reputation and impact of both universities on the international stage while creating new opportunities for knowledge development and fostering sustainable partnerships in the future.

The delegation from UPM's School of Business and Economics (SPE UPM), led by Prof. Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin (Dean of SPE) and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Graduate), and from Shanghai Jiaoda Education Group - under Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Mr. Jack Liu (Executive President), Mr. Lynn Yang (Preparatory Department Director), Ms. Mia Xu (Staff), and Mr. Ibrahim Ding (Overseas China Project Director) participated in the discussions.
