Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr Fng Ah Seng shares tips to be a successful entrepreneur

On 6 March, 2020, Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr Fng Ah Seng, JP, shared his life experiences through a public lecture titled ‘The creation of a successful modern era entrepreneur/business leader’ to more than 300 students at Faculty of Economics and Management, UPM. Public lecture series by real entrepreneur has been incorporated as part of the lecture for students who taking MGM3180 entrepreneurship subject. Entrepreneurship is a hands-on subject where the knowledge should not be learnt from textbook alone, real life experiences shared by successful entrepreneurs through public lecture is an important platform to inspire students on how real entrepreneur achieves successes.
On the same occasion, Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng, JP, the billionaire philanthropist, presented a research grant RM50,000.00 from Yayasan Muhibah Tan Sri Fng Ah Seng, to a research team comprised of Associate Professor Dr. Ng Siew Imm, Dr. Norazlyn Kamal Basha, Dr. Cheah Jun Hwa, and Ms. Lim Xin Jean, from Faculty of Economics and Management, UPM.
Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng, JP, is the Founder and Chairman of Epic Valley Holdings Group and also the Chairman of Yayasan Muhibah Tan Sri Fng Ah Seng. Through Yayasan Muhibah Tan Sri Fng Ah Seng which founded in 2011, Tan Sri Fng has donated more than RM5 million yearly for charitable and educational causes, regardless of their race, religion, and nationality, as Tan Sri believes in giving back to the society.
The public lecture ended with Q&A session and souvenir presentation to Tan Sri Fng by Associate Professor Dr. Ho Jo Ann, Head of Management and Marketing Department, Faculty of Economics and Management. This is followed mock cheque presentation to the grant recipient and book presentations to lecturers and students, by Tan Sri Fng.
