The leap in ranking has been a continuous improvement for seven consecutive years, thus enabling UPM to maintain its position as the second-best university in Malaysia.

This success also saw a rise of UPM's performance in almost all indicators evaluated with international student indicator scoring the highest.

This is in line with UPM's efforts to strengthen international collaboration through various international programmes.

This inspiring achievement is the result of the cooperation and commitment of all UPM community members who are committed to putting UPM in the best position in the world. This is also in line with UPM's vision of becoming a renowned university with an international reputation.

This achievement would not only help to raise the level of excellence of UPM but also contribute significantly to the community’s well-being and the country's progress.

This achievement further boosts the spirit of UPM community to continue to work towards achieving the aspirations and goals of the Global Putra 100 (PG100), which is to become among the 100 best universities in the world over the next three years.

The Strategic Plan 2021-2025 and the Transformation Plan Beyond 2025 which are currently being formulated will soon become essential platforms that will continue UPM's legacy of excellence on the international stage.
