"UPM and Tashkent State University of Economics Forge Extensive Collaboration in Education and Research"

Uzbekistan, March 4, 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the School of Business and Economics (SPE) is delighted to have visited and held discussions with Tashkent State University of Economics to establish strategic collaboration in the fields of education and research.

The delegation from the School of Business and Economics, UPM (SPE UPM), was represented by Prof. Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin (Dean of SPE) and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies), along with Prof. Dr. Sultonali Mekhmonov, Vice Rector (Academic Affairs), and Dr. Hayot Saydaliev (Escort), and other delegates participated in the discussions.

Proposed collaborations include joint research, publication of works in leading journals, staff and student exchange, mobility, collaboration in Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programs, as well as the implementation of online conferences involving both institutions.

Other priorities include an agreement to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) encompassing various forms of proposed collaboration between Tashkent State University of Economics and the School of Business and Economics UPM. This is expected to further strengthen the relationship between the two institutions and open new opportunities for knowledge sharing and mutual development at the international level.
