SERDANG, 18th of March 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the School of Business and Economics (SPE) has organized an online meeting together with the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), the Faculty of Educational Studies (FPP), and the International School of Finance and Technology (ISFT), Uzbekistan.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin (Dean of SPE) and attended by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of SPE) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Fahmi Sheikh Hassan (Graduate Coordinator).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazlina Abdul Halim (Dean of FBMK) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar (Dean of FPP) also participated in the meeting.

On the part of ISFT, Feruza Tolipova (Vice Rector of ISFT) and Ozod Qurbonov (Senior Lecturer) were present in the meeting. It lasted for one (1) hour, and the discussions revolved around the potential for cooperation and collaboration between the two institutions.

Among the collaboration-related matters discussed were student exchange programs, staff exchanges including teaching staff, and initiatives to offer Joint Degree Programs.

At the same time, the proposal to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions was suggested during the discussions to emphasize the importance of formalizing the terms of partnership and enabling collaborative activities to be conducted officially.

This meeting marks the beginning of UPM's efforts to expand its global reach and provide students with diverse learning opportunities, reflecting its commitment to building close cooperation that has the potential to greatly benefit both institutions in the fields of education and research.
